Florida Hilda Savinelli July 23, 1921 - April 11, 2012 Rockledge, FL - On April 11, 2012 in Rockledge Florida Hilda (Mazzella) Savinelli peacefully died at home in the care of her family; daughters Susan & Antoinette, grandson Vincent. She was born at home in Brooklyn on July 23, 1921. She was one of 18 children and the last living child of Anthony and Josephine Mazzella of Ponza Italy. In 1941 she married Frank Savinelli ( predeceased 1966) they lived in New Haven lovingly bringing up their family. She owned her own driving school and patiently taught students for many years. She leaves her daughters and son in laws Susan and Vincent Amarante of Viera FL, Antoinette and the late Paul Wassmer of Rockledge FL, Gloria and James Arnold of Putnam. Her children have loving memories of her strength, her good food, green thumb and amazing landscaping with rock walls. Her Seven grandchildren have fond memories of card games, bingo, picnics and crabbing. Her Eleven great grandchildren will remember all her hugs, kisses and the tears of joy in her eyes. She will be honored Saturday April 28, 2012 at 11 A.M. at St Therese Church in North Haven. Committal will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
