Mrs. J.L. "Flora" Bradshaw, daughter of the late Mr. Fielding Whitlow and Mrs. Eliza Bennett Whitlow, was born September 25, 1889 in Hart County and departed this life at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 1981 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was 91 years, seven months and eight days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She united in marriage to Rev. J. L. "Colonel" Bradshaw January 18, 1913 and he preceded her in death October 18, 1964. To this union were born two sons and one daughter: E.L. Bradshaw, Louisville and V.A. Bradshaw, Pearl River, La. and Mrs. Iva Sydnor, Summersville, Ky.
Mrs. Bradshaw is also survived by another son: H.C. Shipp, Clinton, Ky; one brother: S.E. Whitlow, Magnolia; six grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1981 at the Aetna Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Rev. Curtis Slinker officiated.
Pallbearers were: Glenn Terry, Jeff Wright, Clayton Wright, Paul Terry, Mike Akin, Kevin Scott and Bill Skaggs.
