Lexington Cemetery online records have:
Helen Alford Roselle
Born: UnknownDied: Unknown
Service: 08/19/1900
Section: H Lot: 44 Grave: N 1/2
This location is with her father, Smith, her mother, C.C., her brother, J. Nathaniel, sister, Virginia "Jennie" Blackburn, an uncle (I believe), O.P. Alford, an aunt (I believe), Mary (wife to O.P.), a relation onetime lieut. gov. of KY, Mitchell C. Alford, and several members of his family. It sure would have been helpful to find a record with her using the nickname of Nellie, but it is not farfetched. I did not find a marriage for her to a man with various spellings of Rozelle, Roselle, Rosell, etc. Bummer. However, the other FAG memorial with the death date showing her headstone along with her parents' graves clinched it for me. I have found several mistakes in the online cemetery records. For example, a "Mattie" I worked on last night was entered under Hattie, but the date meshed, along with the grave location for the husband.
In the 1900 US Census, she was living with her mother, Catherine, in Midway under the name Helen A. Rozzelle, widow. (Spelling of her married name incorrect.) In the 1880 US Census, she was living with her widowed mother, Columbia. (Her mother's name was Catherine Columbia.) In the 1870 US Census, she is living with both parents.
