Mitchell Ray Durant, 62, was born December 21, 1942 in Farris, Ok., and passed away on April 18, 2012. He's the son of Emeizah Durant and Elency (Wesley) Durant and had lived most of his life in Boswell. He married Dorothy Samis on May 15, 1965 in Honey Grove, TX. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one son, Cory Durant, two sisters, Edith Pistubbee and Doretha Herra; also two brothers, Dan Durant and Terry Durant. Mitchell enjoyed fishing and hunting, working in the garden and working around the house.
Survivors: His wife, Dorothy Durant; three daughters, Kimberly Dancer and husband, Shane of Durant, OK, Lorinda Durant of Boswell, OK and Janice Durant-White of Durant, OK; two brothers, Jimmy Wesley of Hugo, OK and Johnny Durant of Boswell, OK; three sisters, Gina Samis of Paris, TX, Erma Hargrow of Bonham, TX and Molly Billy of Rockwall, TX; five grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 Friday, April 20, 2012 at the funeral home
Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church - Boswell , OK on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Officiating will be Bro. Donnie Goodwin and Bro. Rick Westbrook. Interment will be at Wade Cemetery - Boswell, OK. Arragenments are being handled by Miller & Miller Funeral Home
