Alexander, Elzie Otis, born in Mercer County, Mo., July 16, 1891, died March 15, 1917, near Summerfield, Kans., from complications resulting from measles, aged 25 years, 8 months and 29 days. He was the youngest child of H. H. Alexander and wife, of Summerfield. He moved with his parents to Kansas from Missouri in 1900, and had lived in Kansas all but four years since that time. He was married to Miss Lythia Fralin, Nov. 9, 1910. To this union were born two sons, one of whom died in infancy. He and his wife united with the Church of the Brethren in the fall of 1911, and he remained a member in good standing until his death. He leaves a wife and little son, his aged parents, two brothers and three sisters. He was very affectionate as a son and husband.
