The funeral for Margery A. Christensen, 81, of Fremont will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
She died Monday, June 28, 2004, at Fremont Area Medical Center.
Margery Nelson was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Creighton. She grew up in the Creighton area. She married Wayne D. Christensen on May 1, 1941, in Neligh. After her marriage, the couple farmed in the North Bend, Scribner and Hooper areas. They moved to Fremont in December 1985. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1989.
Survivors include: two sons, Rolin J. Christensen and Ron D. Christensen of Blair; three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Dennis) Michaelis of West Point, Nancy Larsen and Sheryl (Mrs. Michael) Still, all of Fremont; a brother, Vern Nelson of Big Springs; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by a son, a grandson and three sisters.
Chaplain Joe Brown of Fremont Area Medical Center will officiate Thursday's service. Closed casket visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
