Mrs. Melda Tingley, 84, widow of Warren Tingley, died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at her home near Cooperstown, after a three year's illness.
Her husband died in 1936. Surviving are the fllowing daughters and sons: Mrs. William Tate, Chicago, Mrs. Brooks Fleming, Akron; Mrs. C.H. Pelton, Crainesville; Mrs. Lawrence Swogger, Hadley; Lee, Meadville; John, Cooperstown; Claude and Herbert, at home.
As long as her health permitted she took an active part in the work of the Cooperstown Methodist Church, of which she was a faithful member for many years.
