Death of Mrs. Hannah Jensen
Annie Johannah Jensen, wife of Gerhard Jensen of the Second Ward, died Thursday, May 5 1904, of general debility, aged 68 years and eight months. She was a native of Denmark and came to this city 38 years ago, residing here ever since. She came to Utah when 18 years of age and walk the entire distance. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom (4 sons and 2 daughters) survive her. She was a devoted wife and mother and a firm believer in the principles of the Latter Day Saint, of which Church she was a member.
Funeral services were held in the Second Ward meeting house Monday at 2:00 p.m. The hall was beautifully decorated with flowers by the Relief Society, the deceased having been a teacher for many years. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends and the services were very impressive. The ward choir sang a number of appropriate selections.
