John William Adams, 30, R. R. 1, Newville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Carlisle Hospital, at 1:05 a.m. Saturday following an automobile accident on Route 34.

Born April 16, 1942, R. R. 2, Shippensburg, he is the son of the late Lester William Adams and Kathleen Kriner Adams, presently Mrs. Roy Wolfe, Carlisle.

He was employed by T.R. Hoffman Manufacturing Co., Carlisle. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Kay Graham Adams, and five children, Polly Marie, Pamela Mae, Betty Elizabeth, Kathleen Halen and Robin Sue, all at home. Also surviving are five brothers, Harry Clarence and Richard Adams, all of Shippensburg; Bruce Adams, Dillsburg, and William Adams, Allen; four sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Ott, R. R. 1, Shippensburg; Mrs. Leroy Carbaugh, Shippensburg; Mrs. Barry Chestnut, R. R. 3, Newville, and Mrs. Al Lewis, Salem Ind.

Services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Van Scyoc Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Strock, officiating. Burial will be a Mountain Green Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 7 this evening.
