James Nowlin, aged about 35 years, died in Atlanta at 5 o'clock last evening. He was a son of the late J.R. Nowlin and the news of his death will cause much regret. He had been in poor health for several months and five weeks ago was taken to Atlanta to undergo treatment at an infirmary there. He continued to grow worse and the end came last evening.
The remains were shipped here reaching this place at 8 o'clock over the Louisville & Nashville. Interment was made at Forrest cemetery at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The remains were interred with Masonic honors, the deceased being a member of that organization.

James R. Nowlin, Jr., a member of one of the oldest and best known families of Gadsden and northeast Alabama, died in Atlanta at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
The remains arrived this morning and the funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
"Jimmie" Nowlin, as he was best known, became ill several months ago and about the middle of last month, he was carried to the Howell Park Sanitarium in Atlanta. His trouble was fatal and his death was not unexpected. It is an extremely sad one, however, as it is the fourth to occur in the Nowlin family within the past two months.
J.R. Nowlin, Jr. was about 37 years old. Up to a short time ago, he conducted a drug store at Alabama City. He leaves a mother, several brothers and sisters and a wife
