Laura LaShea Adams, 17, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life and joined her savi
or on Christmas morning, December 25, 2010 at her home in Anderson, Missouri with her loving family by her side after a recent illness.

Laura entered this life on July 8, 1993 in Joplin, Missouri one of three children born to the union of Lewis A. and Paula J. (Schlessman) Adams. She was raised in Anderson, Missouri and was a senior at McDonald County High School.

Laura was a very active member of the Anderson Full Gospel Church where she was a Children's Church teacher. A member of CRAVE, her youth group. She also attended and loved Tri-State Youth Camp and Youth Advance.

Laura loved McDonald County High School. She was involved in NHS, STUCO, FCA, FTA, A+, Drug Free Scholarship, Gold and Silver Card, Leadership, President of Dynamic Divas, Yearbook staff and an ambassador for the counselors office. She helped with the Special Olympics and loved being a manager of the MCHS Wrestling team. Laura sincerely loved her "county family".

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert lee and Norma Adams; maternal grandfather, Willie Schlessman; paternal great grandparents, James Robert and Leota Adams; and maternal great grandfather, Dewey Lewis.

Laura is survived by her parents, Lewis and Paula Adams of the home; a sister, Courtney Adams also of the home; a brother, Joe Adams and wife, Kim, two nieces, Evie and Emma Adams of Anderson, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Louise Schlessman of Pineville, Missouri; maternal great grandmother, Elsie Lewis of Pineville, Missouri;; several aunts and uncles; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Laura will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at the McDonald County High School Gymnasium with Pastors Cecil Hall and Travis Crusa officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Grant Hendrix, Bub Stites, Austin Stites, Josh Factor, Dan Royce, Mike Hall and Roger Cooper. The MCHS Wrestling Team will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
