He attended school in both Dongola and Marshall, Arkansas. His family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1942. In Tulsa, he was an alumnus of Central High School and the University of Tulsa, where he graduated from their School of Business with honors. While he was a student at TU, he met Betty N. Prior to graduation, he was hired by PSO, where he enjoyed a very successful career; beginning as a student clerk and retiring as a top-level executive in the areas of Accounting & Finance. In addition to his work at PSO, he held positions of Treasurer at both Central South West Corporation and Ash Creek Mining Company. Outside of the corporate world, he was a successful entrepreneur, owning both a construction company and an accounting firm. Always active in the Tulsa community, he served on the Board of Directors for many professional, civic and social clubs and organizations. As a young man, he served our country during the Korean War as an officer in the United States Air Force. He was a very active member of the Church of Christ for over 50 years.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his sons, Phil, Gary, and Ron; grandchildren, Kevin, Kolton, Kamiren, and Kai; daughters-in-law, Kelli and Cici; a brother, Fred H. Daniel and a large number of relatives and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
