Almina Fish Miller Carson was born on November 14, 1816. In Lincoln County, Kentucky. She is the daughter of John and Mary Hiatt Miller. She married George Washington Miller Sr on June 8, 1831 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Little is known of Almina's first husband George or what became of him other than his marriage to Almina. From the 1850 & 1960 United States Federal Census Reports they had seven children: May (1836), Armstead (1838), John (1840), George Jr (1842), James (1844), William, (1846), and Bell (1849) Miller. Almina and her family lived with her parents John & Mary Fish on their plantation in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky near the mouth of Cooper Creek. This was the same home where Almina was born. Between 1850 and 18567 she married Judge James Evans Carson on June 13, 1857. Their children; David (1857) and Fish Hiatt (1860) Carson. She died on March 12, 1868 in Lincoln County, Kentucky at the age of 51 years 3 months and 27 days old.
