North Carolina, Salisbury - Rodger Lyle Armstrong, age 66, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.

Mr. Armstrong was born May 28, 1945 in Murray, Kentucky and was a graduate of Central High School in Memphis TN.

He also was a graduate of Christian Brothers College in Memphis.

Rodger served in the US Marines and was retired from the WG "Bill" Hefner Veterans Hospital working in the Accounting Department.

Those left to cherish his memories are his former wife Sandra Lovejoy Armstrong; sisters Carole Phillips (Bob) of Jacksonville, FL and Beverly Jane Norman of Charlotte, NC; nephews Robert Phillips (Cathy), Ross Phillips (Diana), Todd Phillips, David Norman, and niece Maggie Farrington (Brad).

A Graveside service was at the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex with Military Honors and the Patriot Guard Riders.
