BERRY, Mr. Clarence - Age 96, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Bro. James Ray, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Berry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Clarence Berry, Sr. was born February 9, 1916 in Jackson, Mississippi. He moved to Flint with his family in 1944. Mr. Berry worked for General Motors for 30 years. He was a loving and humble man. Whatever you did for him he was appreciative. His favorite pastime was watching baseball.
Mr. Berry will be truly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Barbara Berry and Louise (Thomas) Bell; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 1 sister-in-law; 1 daughter-in-law; companion, Margaret Pea; 4 nieces; 1 nephew.
Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his wife; son; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.
