Charles "Chuck" Yancey Allen, 45, of Broadway, died April 19, 2012 at his residence in Broadway.
He was born July 29, 1966 in Harrisonburg and was a son of Jerry Allen, of Grottoes, and Carol Lankford Dean, of Shenandoah.
He was a self employed route salesman of Flowers Bakery. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrisonburg and attended Christine Tolson Life Center in Harrisonburg.
On June 15, 1996 he married the former Tammie Latimer, who survives.
Also surviving are children; Brandon, Cynthia, Kirsten, and Anthony Allen, a brother; Thomas W. Allen and wife Tiffany, of Rocky Mount, VA, brothers in law; Wayne and Teri Latimer, sister in law; Kathy Davis and husband Randal, mother in law; Pamala Dempsey, father in law; William Latimer, nieces; Kendra, Lauren, Brooke, Whitney, Brandy, Madison, nephews; Steven, Jonathon, Collin, Tyler and great nephew; Justus.
He was preceded in death by grandparents; Florene Sullivan, Butch Lankford, Rev. Alvin Allen, and Elizabeth Allen.
Pastor Jeff Ferguson will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, April 28 at 11 AM at First Assembly of God. The family will receive friends at Tammie's residence on Friday, April 27 from 6-7:30 PM. Contact the funeral home for directions.
