Audrey Elaine Bell Stikeleather, 83, of Statesville, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 6, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House. She was born March 25, 1929 in Iredell County, to the late Cecil Albert Bell and Sarah Fulbright Bell.
Mrs. Stikeleather was a graduate of Cool Spring School and on September 25, 1949 she married Thomas Howard Stikeleather who survives. She was a charter member of Oakdale Baptist Church and was part of the choir and former Sunday School Teacher. She was a home maker and tended to her family and helped with the family business.
In addition to her husband Tom Stikeleather, of the home, she is also survived by three sons Stanley T. Stikeleather (Denise) Statesville, Tommy J. Stikeleather (Tracee), of Statesville, and Tony B. Stikeleather. Mrs. Stikeleather is further survived by two granddaughters Carmen S. Graham (Craig), and Candace S. Lindstrom (Ken) three grandsons, Eric S. Stikeleather, Luke T. Stikeleather and Matthew J. Stikeleather, six great grandchildren, and two sisters Pattie Clendenin, of Florida and Joanna Parlier, of Statesville.
A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012 at Oakdale Baptist church with Rev. Greg Barefoot and Rev. David Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Garden. Active pallbearers will be Eric Stikeleather, Ken Lindstrom, Craig Graham, Bentley Parlier, Chris Street and Kevin Bell. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Oakdale Baptist Church.
