Deceased Name: Nettie CLARK

Nettie Jo Clark, 73 of Covington, died October 18, 2004 in her home. The daughter of the late Joseph Alvin and Elizabeth Anderson Mitchell, she was born in Shakerag, Georgia and had lived in Newton County for the past 2 and a half years. Mrs. Clark was a pastor's wife for over 31 years at Ambassador's Apostolic Church in Atlanta. She enjoyed all nature, especially the mountains during the winter with all the lights and even autumn with all the leaves falling. Mrs. Clark loved reading her Bible, writing gospel songs and flowers of all kinds. Those who knew her knew of her humorous side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Rev. Robert Lee Clark, Covington; sons and daughters in law, Ricky and Rose Clark, Larry and Judy Clark all of Monticello; daughters and sons in law, Peggy and Bill Goodwin, Monticello; Sheila and Mike Mashburn, Darlene and Mike Smith, all of Conyers; Arlene and Kenneth Morrell, Tammy and Kerry Farmer, all of Covington; step daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Todd Walden, Moultrie; sisters and brothers in law, Martha and Ed Halcomb, Oxford; Bessie and Jerry Spratt, Jonesboro; Gladys and Jack Clark, Juliette; 22 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, 3 great grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by 1 step grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Higher Praise Tabernacle, Covington; with Bros. Jim Painter, Anthony Wynn, and Kenneth Morrell officiating. Mrs. Clark will lie in state from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church, Stone Mountain. Caldwell & Cowan, Covington, GA.

She was born to Joseph & Ferris
Mitchell. She married Robert Lee Clark. She had 7 children. 2 boys and 5 girls. She always claimed and loved Rhonda as her own.
She and daddy Pastor for 33 1/2 years at Ambassador for Christ.
She loved daddy, her children, grandchildren and great! But, there was No Greater Love than the Love she had for Jesus, her one true God. She instilled in me to love God and Always put Him first and that I could always go to him for anything, he loved me!
I miss her dearly! Would not want to bring her back to this Ole world. I'm making preparations to go see her again! I hope you are on this beautiful day we celebrate
