Floyd James Jackson, 89, died at his home in Ashton, on Sunday, January 18, 1998. He was born March 29, 1908, to James Thomas and Ellen Richards Jackson. He married Phyllis Swensen on July 15, 1933. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah, L.D.S. Temple in 1936. They were married for of almost 65 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and he loved to hunt, fish, and be in the great outdoors. He spent his life working in the timber. He is survived by his wife and five children F.A. [wife, Carol] Jackson, and Merrill [wife, Delores] Jackson, both of Salt Lake City, Ida Ruth [husband, Mel] Hatch of Hood River, Oregon, Narvin [wife, Evera] Jackson of Salt Lake City and Barkley [wife, Mary] Jackson of Marysville; 18 grandchildren, and 43 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn.
