Asa was the son of Wiley Jones and Riney (Reiny) Ange, He was a retired farmer. His death was caused by chronic myocardial degeneration. He was married 3 times, his 1st wife was Susan Annie Haddock, he married her on Aug 25 1882, they had 9 children-Edward Walton (Walter), Ida Melissa, Annie Elizabeth, Calvin, Lennie Mae, Magonlia, Lala, Charlie and Suda Belle. His 2nd marriage was 15 May 1902 to Minnie "Mattie" Mae Smith, they had three children-Bessie Mae, Warren Asa and Heber Alton. His 3rd and last marriage was on 30 Aug 1922 to Sarah Elizabeth Haddock and they had one child Lucille Jones
