Paul Indoe Garrison went peacefully to his Lord and Savior on December 27, 2016 with his loving family at his side at his longtime residence in Fort Jones. He was 90 years old.

Paul was born in Delbourne, Alberta, Canada on February 5, 1926 to Pearl I. and Lucy M. Garrison. The family moved to Scott Valley when Paul was eight. After graduating from High School, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving on the transport ship USS Bergen. After the war, Paul returned to Fort Jones, and he married Charmaine Coor in 1951 in Modesto. Paul served Scott Valley and Fort Jones in many ways. He was a constable for Scott Valley for 27 years prior to becoming the Chief of Police for Fort Jones for 18 years. He was on the Fort Jones Volunteer Fire Department for 40 years. He also worked at the Fort Jones Cemetery for 20 years.

Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charmaine Garrison; two daughters, Pauline Cramer (Mike) and Shirley Spallino (Dan), both of Fort Jones; a sister, Grace Facey of Etna; three grandchildren, Gary Spallino, Leslie Cramer and Brad Spallino; six great grandchildren, Steven, Chris, Austin, Kara, Brody and Blaze Spallino; one great great grandchild, Sophia Spallino; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Garrison.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:30 PM at the Fort Jones Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Jones Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 597, Fort Jones, CA 96032 or to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097.
