Mrs. Lula Whalan, 54 years of age, died at the home of Mrs. C.C. Heath at Holt, at 1:05 p.m. today. Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon, but the body will likely be sent to Clanton for funeral services and internment. J.D. Foster in charge.

Mrs. Lula Whalan Dies At Holt Home

Mrs. Lula Whalan, 54 years of age, passed away at her home in Holt on Friday afternoon, July 19, at 1:05 o'clock. The remains are to be taken through the country by J. D. Foster this morning to Clanton, Ala., for services and internment.

Mrs. Whalan leaves six daughters, Mrs. C. C. Heath of Tarrant City, Misses Ola and Ennis Whalan of Holt, Ala.; Mrs. V. D. Hill of Alberta City, Mrs. A. L. Fowler of McCalla, and Mrs. Jessie McDaniel of South Alabama and three sons, Clyde and Willard Whalan of Holt, and Willie Whalan of Texarkana, Texas. Surviving sisters are Mrs. R. Gallman of Alberta City, Mrs. Milt Cotton of Birmingham, and Mrs. J. W. Cotton of Sylacauga, and brothers are W. F. and E. B. Cullpepper of Clanton, and C. H. Cullpepper of Danville, Va.
