Life came to a close on the morning of February 24, 1973 for Mr. Isom Boyer in the San Augustine Memorial Hospital.
He was born in San Augustine County, Texas, to the late Mr. George Boyer and Miss Lucy Edwards on Nov. 1, 1907.
He was married to Miss Celia Roberts who preceded him in death and to this union were born four children, namely : Murline, Jeweline, Mary Loucette, and Calvin Edward.
In later years, he was married to Miss Lillie Handy, and to this union were born three children: Betty, Opal Mae, and Ira F.
Mr. Isom was a kindhearted and likeable person, and had many friends. He always wore a smile on his face. He was well loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by seven children: Mrs. Murlean Lane, Jeweline Hunt, both of Lufkin,Texas, Mrs. Mary L. Biggers and Calvin, Mrs. Betty Murl Holman, Opal Boyer and Irah Boyer, all of San Augustine, Texas.
Two sisters: Mrs. Loucette Clark of San Augustine, Texas, and Mrs. Berniece Ballard of Beaumont, Texas
Ten grandchildren, four great grandchilden, and a host of other relatives and friends.
