BURCHFIELD, BESSIE L. ALCORN died 20 Nov 1989
Bessie L. Burchfield, 88, of Oneida, passed away early Monday morning, November 20, 1989, at the Scott County Hospital after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Rosetta Goodman Alcorn and was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew W. Burchfield; one son, Arvil Lee Burchfield; and one daughter, Edna Boyatt. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Burchfield is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Everett (Audrey) Danner of Oneida; one son, Howard Burchfield of Cincinnati, O.; one sister, Lena A. York of Cincinnati, O.; four grandchildren: Barbara Jean Bond of Oneida, James Howard Burchfield, Linda Zimmer and Virginia Leadman, all of Cincinnati, O.; eight great-grandchildren: Trent and Courtney Bond, Jody and Kelly Burchfield, Chuck and Shelly Zimmer and Lorie and Crystal Leadman. She also leaves many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, November 21, in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Wade officiating. Special music was provided by Beverly Chitwood. Graveside services and interment were held Wednesday moring, November 22, at 11 a.m. at the Carson Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers were: John B. Seale, Jr., George J. Kings, and Dennis Jones, Jr. Jones and Son Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of the arrangements.
