Owen W. Johnson, 63, died Jan. 25 at his home in East Unity.
He was born in Bromptonville, Canada, and had resided in East Unity for 30 years. He was employed by Dorr Woolen Co. prior to his retirement several years ago.
He is survived by Mrs. Johnson, the former Elvira Smith of Newport; a son, Leonard O. Johnson, East Unity; three daughters, Mrs. Pearle Wright and Mrs. Helen Davis, both of East Unity; and Mrs. Florence Rowe, Newport; nine grandchildren; a brother George Johnson, Newport, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Jan.-28 in the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home by the Rev. Francis Ducharme, pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepard. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
