Joe. J. Stansell, 66, Rt.#6, Paris, died Saturday, 18 Jun 1988, at his home in Blossom.

Services were held Monday, 20 Jun, in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Knights of Honor Cemetery.

Mr. Stansell was born 28 Oct 1921, in Clardy, a son of Daniel Russell Stansell and Bettie Stone Stansell. He married Mary Margaret Thomas on 13 Jun 1953, in Tucumcari, NM. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3990. He owned and operated Stansell's Cafe in Blossom for many years before retiring in 1985.

Surviving are his wife; a step-daughter, Mrs. Louis Dale (Elmola Marie Brock) Musick of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roger (Ruth) Cato of Reno, Mrs. James (Billie) Slagle of Paris and Mrs. H.W. (Gladys) Foote of Blossom.
