A SAD PREMATURE DEATH - Young Married Woman Passes Away at Home of Parents

Mr. and Mrs. George L. Tomlinson of this city and Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Chandler have returned from Hillsboro where on Wednesday they attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Hildebrand [Helterbran] Pound [who died on July 20, 1916].

The deceased was only twenty-nine years of age [born October 13, 1886], and had sometime past been residing with her husband [Samuel H. Pound] in [Great Falls], Montana. On January 1st she was taken ill with rheumatic fever and came to Hillsboro to stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Hildebrand [Helterbran] for a time. She consulted various physicians and also took treatment at the Mayo Bros. hospital at Rochester, Minnesota.

Everything thing that was possible was done to try and prolong this useful life but all to no avail. To mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother, she leaves behind a husband and two little children one two years of age [Kenneth Edward] and the other about eight months old [Dorothy Louise].
