Professional Hockey Player. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, "Bill" Beveridge played for teams in the NHL, AHL, IAHL, CAHL, OCHL, OCJHL, Can-Am, and the QSHL hockey leagues. At 5'08", and 170lbs, Beveridge played the position of Goalie for the Ottawa Jr. Shamrocks from 1924 to 1925, Ottawa Shamrocks from 1924 to 1925, Ottawa New Edinburghs from 1926 to 1930, Detroit Cougars from 1929 to 1930, Ottawa Senators from 1930 to 1931, 1932 to 1933, Montreal Maroons from 1935 to 1938, Providence Reds from 1931 to 1933, 1938 to 1939, Syracuse Stars from 1938 to 1940, St. Louis Eagles from 1934 to 1935, New Haven Eagles from 1938 to 1939, Cleveland Barons from 1940 to 1943, New York Rangers from 1942 to 1943, Ottawa Commandos from 1943 to 1945, and the Buffalo Bisons from 1940 to 1941. Beveridge passed away in February 1995 at the age of 85.
