"Paris, Mo., February 15 -- Funeral services were held Saturday at South Fork Presbyterian Church, east of Santa Fe, for Locke Creigh, 88, who died unexpectedly in Audrain County Hospital early Saturday morning.
Mr. Creigh, a member of a prominent and well-known Monroe County family, had been living for the past few years in the Snyder Hotel in Santa Fe. A few weeks ago, he had fallen in his room, sustaining injuries to his hip. He had been taken to the hospital following the fall to determine the extent of his injuries and was thought to be improving when death occurred. Burial was in the South Fork Cemetery.
Among the surviving relatives of Mr. Creigh are a niece, Miss Virginia Creigh, and a nephew, William Creigh, both of Mexico." Moberly Monitor-Index, February 14, 1944
