François Xavier "Francis" Niquette was born and baptized on 28 Mar 1824 at Saint François du Lac, Yamaska, Québec, Canada. He married Marguerite "Margaret" LeClair, daughter of Louis LeClair and Marie Rouillard, about 1849. Francis died before 1880 in Mishicot and I believe that he was interred in Holy Cross Church Cemetery with his daughter Elizabeth, brother Calixte, and niece Emma (Craite).
