Claude Cody, 89 of Weaverville passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center after a brief illness. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Born on October 2, 1922, he was the son of the late Z. W. "Audie" and Elsie Davis Cody of Madison County. He was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Arvil Stuart Cody, eight sisters and one brother. Mr. Cody was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church in Mars Hill and retired from Sales Biltmore Bleachers where he was employed for 44 years.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 18, at Little Creek Baptist Church, Mars Hill. Rev. Kermit Ball, Rev. Ebb Jenkins, and Rev. Cline Hensley, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery. Blue Ridge Funeral Service.Obit.
