TESCOTT -- David Allen Parker, 86, died Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born Nov. 14, 1925, in Mims, Fla., the son of Otis and Mattie (Hildreth) Parker. David was a master mechanic for Northern Natural Gas for more than 40 years. He was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran and a gardener.

David is preceded in death by his spouse, Marguerite Doyle Parker. He is survived by his two sons, Tom (Beth) Parker, of Columbus, Ohio, and Ken (Nancy) Parker, of Overland Park; two daughters, Patty Hood, of Wichita, and Kathy (Mitch) Nelson, of Salina; one sister, Frances Rand, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Justin Hood, Kristen Hill, Travis Parker, Abbey Thomas, Beth Robinett and Jenni Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Derek Hill and Owen-Paul Robinett; and special friend, Mary Levin.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Tescott United Methodist Church, Tescott. Visitation will be at the church 9 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott, with military honors.
