Death Takes F. L. Troegel – Formerly Operated Store Here; Was Member of Half Century Club

Frank L. Troegel, 75, of 301 Prospect Street, died yesterday evening at his home following a long illness.

He had lived in Shreveport all his life and operated a grocery store on Texas Street. He was a member of the Shreveport Half Century Club, and a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Balfe Troegel; three daughters, Mrs. M. W. Walkup, Mrs. Otis P. Risher and Miss Elizabeth Troegel, all of Shreveport; four sons, Frank L. Troegel, Jr., Walter T. Troegel and Eddie F. Troegel, all of Shreveport, and Cpl. James W. Troegel with the Third Army overseas; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral arrangements, with Wellman's funeral home in charge, will be announced later.

Funeral services for Frank L. Troegel, 75-year-old retired grocer who died at his home at 301 Prospect Thursday evening, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

The Rev. John V. Plauche, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery under direction of Wellman funeral chapel. A Rosary, led by Father Felix Clarkson, was said at the Wellman chapel at 8 p.m. yesterday.

Pallbearers will be: August Zeller, Sr., August Zeller, Jr., Louis LeBorde, A. S. Cassard, Elton Troegel and W. T. Troegel.
