"BRACK
John G. Brack, son of Henry and Marie Brack, nee Ochs, was born in Schoenfeld, Russia, March 4, 1871 and died of a heart attack in their home, 411 North Oak, Hoisington, March 23, at the age of 77 years and 19 days.
He was baptized in the Lutheran church in Russia and confirmed in that faith. February 7, 1892 he was united in marriage to Anna Popp and to this union six children were born, two passing away in childhood.
They spent many years on a farm northwest of Otis, then moved northwest of Otis, then moved to Otis where they spent 18 years and three years ago moved to Hoisington to make their future home.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Matilda Brauer, who makes her home at 411 North Oak, Sam Brack of Russell, Fred of Hoisington and Elmer of Denver. Also surviving are ten grandchildren; three brothers, George, Peter and Jacob of Otis and one sister, Mrs. Jacob Shafer of Galatia.
There will be a short funeral service for Mr. Brack at the home at 411 N. Oak at one o'clock Friday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m. services will be conducted at the Trinity Lutheran church at Otis, by the Rev. Kurt Shettler."

The Death Register the Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis KS has an entry that reads:
"John G. Brack, born 4 March 1871, died 12 March 1948, buried 26 March 1948. aged 77 years, 19 days." I cannot interpret his cause of death. It shows the Bible verse of Romans 6:23 as being used in his funeral.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus Our Lord.
Romans 6:23
