Mr. Kellner, 54, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2007) at his home in rural Plainview.
Larry Joseph Kellner was born June 10, 1953, in Osage, Iowa. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in Adams and graduated from Adams High School in 1973. He served in the Army. On Oct. 16, 1976, he married RoseMarie Holmen in Grand Meadow. They lived in the Adams area until 1982, then moved to the Zumbro Falls area. They had resided in the Plainview/Elgin-Millville area since 1989. Mr. Kellner worked for various farmers, including John Tentis and Paul and Diane Fick, until illness forced his retirement. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Jeremy of Dodge Center, Joshua (Melissa) of Millville, Jesse (Tera) and James, both of Rochester, and Joseph of Elgin; four grandchildren; four sisters, Janice (Bill) Nesler of Hemet, Calif., Barbara (Mark) Burnhart of Fenton, Iowa, Christine (Gary) Barth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Emma Jean (Gary) Lint of Vinton, Iowa; and five brothers, Robert (Lorraine) of Stewartville, Bill (Betty) of Rockford, Ill., Dean of Minneapolis, Vince of Austin and Paul of Brownsdale. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Christine (Puffer) Kellner; a twin sister; and a brother.
Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and an hour before the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
