Robert Lee Edwards, son of the late Louis Lee & Daisy Ann Baker Edwards, was born in Canalou, Missouri on June 21, 1932, and passed away at his home in Essex, Missouri on April 12, 2012, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 22 days.

He had lived in Essex most of his life and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

On November 25, 1950, he was married to Dorothy Lee Gromer in Essex, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Edwards of Essex, Missouri; one son, Mike Edwards of Dexter, Missouri, two daughters, Rebecca Edwards of Essex, Missouri, Linda Cloninger of Brownwood, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Edwards of Bloomfield, Missouri; two sisters, June Hunsaker of Dexter, Missouri and Pansy Jones of Michigan. Other family and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Tussing and Hazel Edwards, in infancy; and one grandson, Michael Trammell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Bro. Ronnie McAtee of Advance, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
