Dianne P Ryan passed away on April 13, 2012, surrounded by love in her Red Lodge home. Dianne was born in Slope County, N.D., to parents Phillip L. and Catherine (Binstock) Frank.

A daughter of the prairie, Dianne and her six siblings had as their playground, the prairies to the Rainy Buttes. Dianne attended school at St. Mary's in New England, N. D., where she was instructed by the Sisters of Notre Dame where her faith and values were further nurtured. After college, Dianne moved to Billings, where she met John T. (Jack) Ryan of Minneapolis, originally from Beloit, Wis. They were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Billings on June 19, 1965. Soon after, they moved to the suburbs of Minneapolis where they raised their family.

Once her children were in school, Dianne went to work for Twin City Federal Financial, retiring after 20 years. After her retirement, she and Jack built their dream home on Rock Creek in Red Lodge, Mont.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jack; son, Shawn (Lori) Ryan of New Prague, Minn.; daughter Shannon Ryan of Duluth, Minn., and daughter Amy (Edward) Stites of Byron, Minn. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Anna Little, Patrick and Greta Ryan and Payton, Tessa, and Ryan Stites.

Sadly missing her will be her brothers Henry (Jeanette) Frank of Dickinson, N.D., and Larry (Gerri) Frank of New England, N.D.; and sisters Toni (Leroy) Leikam of Helena, Mont., Rhee (Ed) Wirtz of Great Falls, Mont., and Berni (Steve) Kuhlmann of Billings.

In addition, she is survived by sisters-in-law, Shirley Ryan of Waukesha, Wis., Pat (Tom) Murphy of Green Bay, Wis., and their children; along with 23 other nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Dianne was preceded in death by her granddaughter Mollie Maureen Ryan; her parents; her sister Marilyn Paul; and an infant brother.

The family will greet friends for visitation beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at St. Agnes.
