R. W. DISSMORE SERVICES HELD HERE TUESDAY
Funeral services were held Tuesday February 4 for Robert W. Dissmore, 79 of Menahga, who died Friday January 31. Cause of death was a heart ailment and old age.

Robert W. Dissmore was born June 26, 1878 at Rock County, Minn., the son of George and Mary Dissmore. At the age of 6 months he moved with his parents to Fredericksburg, Iowa. When he was 13 years old he came with his parents by covered wagon to Shell City, Shell River township. He had lived there until three months ago when he moved to Menahga.

He was united in marriage November 23, 1905 to Tina Shoop at Park Rapids, Minn. Nine children were born to the union.
He had been a farmer all his life and was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Archie Bousu (Carol) and Mrs. Irene Ward of Menahga, six sons, Leslie Dissmore, Roy Dissmore, Lawrence Dissmore all of Menahga, Lloyd Dissmore of Pontiac, Mich., Merle Dissmore of Minneapolis, and Rolland Dissmore of Hubbard; 25 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy and two sisters, Mrs. Chauncy Burt, and Mrs. Harley Rex.
Services were held at 2 o'clock at the Methodist of Hubbard with the Rev. Burton Hoag officiating. Interment was in the Hubbard cemetery.

Mrs. Wilfred Norman was pianist and accompanied Mrs. Melvin Bolton and Mrs. Winston Manlove as they sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset"
Pallbearers were Melvin Pulju, Archie Maainaga, Kenneth Downer, Les Zenter, James Juntunen, and Jack Dunham.
Relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dissmore of Pontiac, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Merle Dissmore and son, and Mrs. Thomas Chapman an son all of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moos and children of St. Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Milo Wynn of Crosby, Minn.
