Paris friends have received word of the death of Marvin Gosney, in his late 70's in a hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif., following an extended illness.
He was a native of Paris, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Gosney.
In early manhood, he went to New York for a position with the Sinclair Oil Co. Mr. Gosney became treasurer of the company and then was vice president for a number of years, and was chairman of the board when he retired several years ago and with his family moved to California.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Mrs. Clyde McCollough of Moberly is a former sister-in-law.
The funeral will be held Thursday at the Welch-Rice Funeral Home Santa Barbara, with burial at Santa Barbara.
