Mrs. Leta Marie Brown Howe of Junction City, Kas., formerly of Fairbury, died Dec. 12, 1976. She had undergone open heart surgery on Oct 6, 1975.
The daughter of Clyde and Jessie Brown of Fairbury, she was born Oct 17, 1911 and reared at Fairbury.
On April 5, 1941 she was married at Benton, Ark., to Harold Howe. They came to Fairbury to make their home. In 1945 they moved to Junction City, Kas.
Surviving are her husband of Junction City; daughters, Gayle Elmore of Salina, Kas., and Patty Hartman of Minneapolis, Kas.; a son by a former marriage, Richard Arnold of California; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and sister, Thelma, Mrs. Rhienold Hertzel of Fairbury.
Mr. and Mrs. Hertzel were among those attending the funeral services in the Johnson Funeral Home in Juction City with Dr. Wilbur Dee Young officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery there.
