LANCASTER: Millard R. Scott, age 89 of Lancaster, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April, 14, 2012 while at the Pickering House. He was a member of Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church, retired machinist (Rockwell International), sold real estate and served on the Berne Union School Board for 12 years. Millard was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and had received the Bronze Star, and belonged to the American Legion.

Survived by his wife of 69 years, Eileen Scott; daughter, Terri (Fred) Nihiser; son, Tony (Darlene) Scott; grandchildren, Matthew (Jill) Nihiser, Jessica (Nathaniael) Greene, Jennifer (Josh) Eck, Annmarie (Jason) Jarrett, Jennifer Barnett; great-grandchildren, Gracie Barnett, Sienna Greene, Gideon Eck, Seth Greene, Portia Eck, Brenna Jarrett, Cecily Greene and coming soon Ruby Jane Nihiser; sisters, Marti Stain, Gladys Wacker and Inez (Leo) Cloutier; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Lancaster United Brethren in Christ Church with Pastors, Greg Vioght, Mathew Nihiser, Greg Hockman and Henry Cadwell officiating.

Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery where the Lancaster Veteran Burial Detail will conduct graveside rites. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

The family suggests contributions to Lancaster United Bretheran in Christ Church, 1125 Pleasantville Road, Lancaster, Ohio.
