Rites Sunday For J.R. Bartley at Hams Prairie:

Funeral services for James Raymond Bartley, age 57, of Mokane, Missouri, who died unexpectedly Thursday morning at Callaway Memorial Hospital in Fulton, will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at the Hams Prairie Christian Church.

The Reverend James R. Wright Jr. will officiate and interment will be in the Steedman Cemetary.

The body will lie in state at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Pallbearers will be William Glover, Ed Glover, Martin Glover, John Groner, Keely Breid and Alfred Elley.

Mr. Bartley became ill early Thursday morning. He had worked until midnight, Wednesday night, at Harbison Walker Refractories here and was stricken later at home.

A native of Callaway County, Missouri he was born on October 5, 1903, a son of John F. and Winnie (Williamson) Bartley. He was married on December 11, 1933, to the former Abbigale Berry who survives at the home.

Mr. Bartley was a member of the Hams Prairie Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Mrs. Alice Reynolds of Imperial, Missouri, Dean, Richard, Dale, Lonnie and Loretta, all of the home; five sisters, Mrs. Hallie Smiley and Mrs. Guy Stambaugh, both of Fulton, Missouri, Mrs. Grace O'Dell of New Mexico State, Mrs. Mae Christopher of Rolla, Missouri and Mrs. George Poe of the state of California; three brothers, J.F. Bartley, Paris Bartley and Raymond Bartley of Mokane, Missouri; three grandsons and one granddaughter.

James Richard Bartley, age 57, of Rt.1, Mokane, Missouri died at 8:20am on September 22, 1960 at Callaway Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one hour.

Dr. Henry Durst, of Fulton, Missouri pronounced death caused by Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage due to Hypertension and Arteriosclerosis. The informant was Mrs. Abbigale Bartley, spouse of the deceased.

Mr. Bartley was born October 5, 1902, in Callaway County, Missouri, the son of John F. and Winnie (Williamson) Bartley. He was united in marriage to Abbigale R. (Harris) Bartley and she survives him. Mr. Bartley was a farmer and a laborer.

Arrangements were under the care of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial was in the Steedman Cemetery.
