DEATH OF J. H. MILLER
Joseph Harry (sic) Miller, a retired machinist of Shelby and Knox counties, died Wednesday afternoon in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida Jane Redman, near Philadelphia, following four years of ill health. He was a native of Shelby county, born June 15, 1850 and spent all his life in Shelby and Knox counties where he followed his profession, a machinist and had operated both saw mills and flour mills. He belonged to the Masonic lodge at Bethel and the Concord Christian Church at Sigsbee.
His wife, the former Rhoda Ann Hines, died in 1913, he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Redman except for one year when he lived with another daughter Mrs. Bertha Long.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ida Jane Redman, Philadelphia; Mrs. Bertha Long, Quincy; Mrs. Jennie Johnson, Yale, Okla., and one son Henry Miller of near Philadelphia. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Fannie Allison, of Shelbyville. One daughter, Mrs. Anna Dinwiddie, preceded him in death.
Funeral and burial took place Saturday.
