Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with the Rev. James Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Viola Rae O'Brien Memorial Fund in care of the family.
Viola was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Mason City, the daughter of Norman and Mae Anderson. She attended Mason City Schools, graduating in 1944. She was married to George O'Brien on September 3, 1949,in Minneapolis, Minn. To this union, two sons were born. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending their regular worship services. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Viola was survived by her two sons, George O'Brien and wife, Cheri of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Shawn O'Brien and wife Kelly of Andover, Minn.; grandchildren, Jon, Paul, Kristi, Kendra and Amerita; seven Great-grandchildren and sister, Norma Young of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George in 1995, and sister, Amerita.
