LaRocque, Eugene C. 'Rocky' Arcadia, Florida formerly of Bay City, Michigan Mr. LaRocque passed away peacefully at his residence in Arcadia , Florida on November 12, 2004. He was born on November 9, 1927 in Fisherville, Michigan. 'Rocky' served in the U.S. Maritime (Merchant Marines) during World War II. Upon discharge, he became employed in the bread/baking business in Sales, delivery and management at Berdan, Sunbeam, Gase and Entenmanns. Throughout his life, he enjoyed his friends, family, dogs, gardening, baseball, bowling, golfing and fishing on his boat 'Pinky Do'. He was past president and an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Sherry (Thomas) Burkhart of Saginaw, Denise (Dennis) Sampson of Bay City, stepsons: Brian Wood of Maui, Hawaii, Jeff Wood of Phoenix, Arizona and David Montague of Kalamazoo; half brothers: Edwin Banaszak of Bay City, Michael LaRocque of Bay City and Daryl (Tina) LaRocque of Curtisville, MI.; his sister, Judith (Clare) Wetmore of Savanah, GA.; his brother-in-law, Richard Quick of Arcadia; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Thressa (Gross) Banaszak and Floyd LaRocque. At the request of Mr. LaRocque cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service conducted by the family will take place Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 o'clock noon until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota Florida 34238. Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. 201 W.
