Word has been received in Clinton of the sudden death Jan 11 of Charles Josiah Heath, 72, of 431 Mistletoe Street, San Antonio Texas. Funeral services were from the Peter Loring chapel there, the Rev. Richard J. Stann officiating. Mr. Heath was born and reared in Clinton, attending the public schools here, and had been employed by the Western Union Telegraph company. He left Clinton but returned in 1933, living here until 1940, when he went to San Antonio. In 1942, he served the government in the signal corps at Fort Sam Houston. His wife, Mrs. Lela King Heath, survives him. Preceeding him in death were his parents.

Charles Josiah Heath, aged 72, of 431 West Mistletoe, died Sunday night. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lela K. Heath. Services will be Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Porter Loring Chapel, the Rev. Richard J. Spann officiating, following which the body will be taken to San Marcos for interment.
