ESTHERWOOD - Funeral services for John Hanks, 58, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at St. Margaret Catholic Church.
The Rev. Rusty Richard officiated with burial following in the Estherwood Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
Mr. Hanks died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Anne Romero Hanks of Estherwood; one son, Bradley James and wife Tracy Lynn Credeur Hanks of Egan; two daughters, Mary Ann Hanks Regan and her husband Damon of Egan, and Hilda Marie Hanks of Estherwood; three brothers, Gabriel Raphel Hanks of Port Arthur, Texas, Joseph LeRoy Hanks of Sulphur and Joseph Lester Hanks of Midland; one sister, Eva Rose Hanks Strahan of Port Arthur; and four grandchildren, Kirsti Nicole Regan, Bradley James Hanks Jr., Jacob Thomas Regan and Lani Anest Hanks.

Mr. Hanks is preceded in death by his son, Oneal Pierre Hanks; parents, Valcin and Marie Anna Comeaux Hanks; one brother, John Erroll Hanks; one sister, Mary Jean Hanks Lejeune; and dad, Leon Hanks.

Duhon Funeral Home, U.S. 90, Crowley, was in charge of arrangements.
