J. R. Brown "Papa Jake", age 79 of Crossville passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Crossville Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Kilpatrick Cemetery. Bro. Chris Claborn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jessie Alexander, Terry Alexander, Thomas Brown, Kody Burttram, Dylan Clark and Dennis Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim and Nick Alexander.
Visitation will be from 11:30 until 2 before the service.
He is survived by his wife; Kathleen Brown, daughters; Tammy Shell (Mark) of Arab, Regina Brown (Jeremy) of Crossville, Stephanie Clark of Albertville and Tisha Jones of Albertville, grandchildren; Dylan, Alexis and Alyvia Clark of Albertville and Ashynd Morgan and Juliette Brown of Albertville, brothers; George Brown (Shelia) of Albertville and William Brown of Crossville, sisters; Pat Maroney (Clarence) and Catherine Leslie (Lee) all of Boaz, several nieces and nephews.
