DEATH OF DEACON FURMAN. – A telegram was received yesterday announcing that Deacon Robert Furman, of this city, died at New York yesterday morning. He has been in New York seven weeks, having an operation performed for stone in the bladder. Mr. Furman has been a prominent citizen among us for many years. He was one of the first Aldermen of the city, representing the then Fourth Ward.
The remains will reach here to-morrow morning, and notice of time of funeral given as soon as determined.

DIED.
FURMAN - In New York, at the residence of his sons-in-law, Dr. J. P. Mann and Mr. C. E. Adams, Mr. Robert Furman, of this city, aged 67 years. Friends of his family are invited to attend the funeral from his late residence, 86 Montgomery street, on Sunday, the 8th inst., at 3 P.M.
