From the book published in 1916 "Abbe -Abbey Genealogy In Memory of John Abbe and his Descendants" by Cleveland Abbe and Joseph Genung Nichols

Addison Rouligne Terry, b. in Sangerfield, June 19, 1830. He was a farmer, went to Fort Scott, Kans., enlisted at the outbreak of the Civil War and was lost, fate unknown. His wife lived in New Berlin, NY., with their daughter, Nora.

From younger brother, Charles Bacon Terry's Memorial:
‘When the boys reached their maturity, all three entered the military. The oldest brother, Addison Roubinge and my g grandfather George W both enlisted on the same day into Co. I NY Eighth Heavy Artillery. Addison was captured during the battle of Reams Station, Va, and was taken to Rebel prison at Salisbury, NC, where he died April 25, 1864."
